Patrick Gee, DPT, CMP
Doctor of Physical Therapy
President and Founder

Dr. Patrick Gee founded G Sports Physical Therapy, Inc. to assemble the best sports and orthopedic physical therapists in the San Francisco Bay Area.  He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University and specializes in the rehabilitation of sports injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and complex conditions of the spine. Dr. Gee was a member of the Wellness Team for the U.S. Open 2012 Golf Championships. He has over 10 years of experience helping injured rock climbers, mountain bikers, tennis players, and golfers return to their sports successfully. Dr. Gee is currently only one of four physical therapists to achieve the Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP) status in San Francisco; a highly skilled manual therapy concept to relieve pain and restore motion of any joint in the body. He has been a clinical instructor for physical therapy students from UCSF, UOP, USC, Columbia University, and Samuel Merritt University. Dr. Gee has also been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2001.

Justin Jellin, DPT, ART
Marketing Lead
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Justin Jellin earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of the Pacific, in addition to an undergraduate degree in Sports Sciences.  He has a special interest in treating athletes involved in running, skiing, and crew. Whether it is low back pain, ankle instability, or baby boomer generation injuries, Dr. Jellin enjoys helping all athletes return to their pre-injury level of performance.  He has been certified in Active Release Technique (ART), which is very effective in correcting overuse injuries in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Dr. Jellin was a practical examiner at UOP and continues his involvement on the University Alumni Board. Outside of clinical practice, he is an accomplished musician in both classical trumpet and guitar.  Dr. Jellin has been a member of the APTA since 2010.


Matthew D'Elena, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Matthew D’Elena discovered his passion for physical therapy during his undergraduate studies at California State University Chico, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at University of the Pacific. Being a competitive basketball and soccer player for most of his life, he has always had a special interest in sports related injuries and published research on the effects of ankle braces on athletic performance. Dr. D’Elena believes in a functional rehabilitation approach and strives to ensure his patients reach their movement and athletic goals. Outside of clinical practice he is involved in academia, serving as a practical examiner for physical therapy students and has been part of the APTA since 2013. Additionally, he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and traveling.



Jillian Ramos, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Jillian Ramos found her passion in physical therapy while earning her Bachelor's in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of San Francisco. She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the UCSF/SFSU, where she conducted research on the effects of social media on body image in adolescent and young adult females. As a former cross country runner, she is interested in running biomechanics analysis and understands the importance of overall sports-specific rehabilitation programs. Dr. Ramos believes in providing evidence-based, patient-centered care, and loves working alongside her patients achieve their goals for physical therapy. She has been a member of the APTA since 2014. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new workouts, venturing outdoors, and watching re-runs of "Friends".

    P.J. McGanal, DPT, CSCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy

After 10 years as a personal trainer and strength coach working with weekend warriors and athletes, PJ went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University to further his expertise in human movement. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has additional training in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement System (FMS) in order to better assess faulty movement patterns and improve athletic performance. He enjoys working with individuals of all ages, fitness levels and athletic experiences, and strongly believes in empowering his patients with the necessary skills to perform basic musculoskeletal self-maintenance for the rest of their lives. PJ is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as the Orthopedic and Sport Sections. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, snowboarding, Crossfit, and going on outdoor adventures with his dogs.


Koji Okamoto, MPT, TPI CGFI
Physical Therapist

Inspired by the Nagano Olympics and his passion for sports like golf, tennis, and snowboarding, Koji Okamoto earned his Master's in Physical Therapy from the College of Mount St. Joseph. He has been practicing for over 11 years in orthopedics and specializes in the rehabilitation of sports injuries of the Lumbar spine, shoulder, knee, and ankle. He is a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI CGFI) and can help you improve your golf swing in addition to prevent future injuries. Not only is golf his passion, Koji was hand selected to be on the Wellness Team for the U.S. Open Golf Championship in 2012 through 2018. He was an engineer before he became a physical therapist and continues to apply his analytical knowledge to help his patients recover from their injuries and remain healthy. Koji has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2002.


Kathryn Csete, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Kathryn Csete earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Duke University after studying Exercise Physiology at California State University at Chico. She developed her love of physical therapy after completing successful rounds of physical therapy for various sports injuries; discovering how rewarding and inspiring physical therapy was. She is certified in Applied Functional Science and uses functional movement analysis as a part of her treatment approach. She is passionate about working with a wide variety of patients, providing them with a specialized program in order to meet their specific goals. She is also a yoga instructor in San Francisco and enjoys treating patients who want to get back to yoga or want to start doing yoga during their rehab process. Outside of the clinic she enjoys running, playing soccer, playing tennis and doing yoga.


Winnie Pang
PT Aide

Winnie Pang  received a  Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis. As part of your physical rehabilitation team she  will help guide you through therapeutic exercises and modalities under the instruction of your physical therapist. When Winnie isn’t working to help patients return to doing what they love, she  enjoys exploring new places, eating good food, building her strength at the gym, and doing odd jobs around the house.




Anthony Shaw
PT Aide 
Anthony is a San Francisco native who recently graduated from San Francisco State University with his Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology. With a future goal of earning his doctorate of physical therapy, Anthony is committed to helping you get back to your best by assisting you in your therapeutic exercises and administering proper modalities as prescribed by your physical therapist. During his free time, Anthony enjoys almost any sport, particularly basketball and baseball, running, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. 

  Magon Liu
PT Aide and Office Assistant

Magon received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies at Iowa State University and plans on becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  As a PT Aide and an office assistant, Magon aims to get to know you and help you with your scheduling, exercises and recovery modalities.  When not at GSPORTS, she enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee around the US and the world, hiking and exploring all over California and cross training with any and every sport.


  Peony Chen
PT Aide and Office Assistant

Peony Chen grew up in the Bay Area and is currently studying at the University of California, Davis. She is working towards a Bachelor’s of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. During the summer, she will be assisting the PT Aides guide you through your therapeutic exercises and modalities. Outside of GSPORTS, Peony enjoys figure skating, swimming, hiking, traveling and listening to music.



Keturah Potter
Front Office Coordinator

Keturah is originally from Florida and moved to the Bay Area to pursue Nursing School in hopes of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. As a Front Office Coordinator she is committed to helping you with any of your scheduling or administrative needs to make sure you have the best possible experience. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, visiting her family back in Florida, exploring the Bay Area, photography and traveling to new places.



Jenesis Imai
Practice Administrator

Jenesis Imai is the Practice Administrator for GSPORTS and works behind the scenes to make your experience better.  Jenesis is always happy to discuss your insurance or billing questions. She is originally from Hawaii and obtained a Master of Arts in Social Psychology at San Francisco State University in 2016. In her free time, Jenesis indulges in her plethora of interests by hiking to and photographing breathtaking scenery, drinking craft beer, dabbling in rock climbing and AcroYoga, and crafting.








Michael Ng, DPT
Clinic Director
Doctor of Physical Therapy

 Dr. Michael Ng is the Clinic Director of our SF SOMA office.  He specializes in the rehabilitation of sports injuries of the shoulder, knee, hip, and foot.  He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from UCSF and San Francisco State University.  Dr. Ng was also a member of the Wellness Team for the U.S. Open 2012 Golf Championships.  Dr. Ng is a family practitioner and is best known for his hands-on approach, applying manual therapy techniques as an effective adjunct to customized therapeutic exercises.  He has been certified in Active Release Technique (ART), which is effective in correcting overuse injuries in muscles, tendons, and ligaments.  Dr. Ng enjoys helping athletes recover from throwing, swimming, volleyball, and running injuries.  He proctors orthopedic physical therapy exams at UCSF when he has time and has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2008. 



Christine Lim
PT Aide

Christine is a San Francisco native who completed her Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology at the University of California, Davis. Prior to joining GSPORTS, she spent time in various clinical settings contributing towards patient care. As the Physical Therapy Aide at the SOMA clinic, Christine is eager to assist you with your exercises under the guidance of your physical therapist and help you achieve your personal health goals. During her spare time, she enjoys visiting national parks, watching soccer and basketball games, going to museums and traveling.



 Anthony Batoon
 PT Aide

Anthony is an Oakland native and completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the San Jose State University with a minor in Business. His goal is to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his free time, he is either in the gym, swimming, golfing or going on foodie adventures with friends and family.  


Tony Green
Front Office Coordinator

Tony is the Front Office Coordinator at our SF SOMA clinic. He is an Oakland native who is excited to join the GSPORTS family.  He is happy to help out with scheduling and making sure that your office visit runs smoothly. During his free time, Tony enjoys hanging out with friends and doing various activities at his church, such as playing drums and teaching in the youth group.







Jacqueline Perez, DPT, OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Clinic Director

Dr. Jacqueline Perez is the Clinic Director of our Berkeley office.  She specializes in the rehabilitation of injuries from dance and performing arts. She has 20 years of dance training from ballet, to belly dancing, to ballroom and enjoys working with dancers of all levels and practices.  She obtained her Masters as well as her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Saint Louis University.  Dr. Perez started her career in St Louis, Missouri, where she specialized in Myofascial Release and became the head PT at a chronic pain clinic.  Since moving to San Francisco, she has been practicing outpatient orthopedics with a focus on worker's compensation care.  Dr. Perez is a member of the APTA and has been a clinical instructor for students of several physical therapy schools, including UCSF and Marquette University. 



Michelle Rice, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Michelle Rice is an East Bay native that returned to California following graduation from the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Columbia University in the New York City. While at Columbia, Dr. Rice developed a passion for working with runners while working in Columbia’s RunLab during which she gained experience in the analysis of running mechanics of beginner through elite level runners. Dr. Rice has been a lifelong athlete, playing 4 years of collegiate Lacrosse at UCLA in addition to completing multiple marathons (Nike Women’s Marathon, New York City Marathon).  Outside of the clinic, Dr. Rice also enjoys hiking, singing, scuba diving, and traveling.


Liana Merkel, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Liana Merkel earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Vermont after completing her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Movement Science. She became interested in physical therapy at a young age after sustaining injuries and undergoing rehabilitation herself as a competitive gymnast. After retiring from her gymnastics career, Lia has become interested in helping athletes of all types return to sport with a special interest in endurance sports. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and playing with her dog.



Davey Oseroff
PT Aide

Davey Oseroff grew up in Oakland before attending California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology and chose an Individualized Course of Study to prepare him for a future in physical therapy. Since moving back to the bay area he has continued his work in the field as an aide and is excited to assist in your treatment and rehabilitation at GSPORTS. Davey is an avid sports fan, and a self-identified homer for the Warriors and Raiders. He is looking forward to being a part of the recovery process.
